Justice for Women on the Border
Featuring: Veronica Leyva, former maquiladora worker and long-time Juarez activist
For more than a decade, the cities of Juarez and Chihuahua have been the sites of over 500 unsolved, brutal murders of women. This event will highlight the impact of neoiberal economic policies, drug trafficking, militarization, and the maquiladora sector on the femicides. Often families of victims suffer threats and defamation by government officials for amking one demand: Stop the Femicides!
