Discussion with filmmaker Karil Daniels after the screening.

Refreshments will be served.

VOICES OF DISSENT features events, theatre, song, dance, comedy, satire, music, poetry & discussion with many leading progressives - Martin Sheen, Woody Harrelson, Michael Franti, Al Franken, Jim Hightower, Medea Benjamin, Norman Solomon, Daniel Ellsberg, Arianna Huffington, Ambassador Joseph Wilson Congresswoman Barbara Lee, Will Durst, Bill Santiago, Paul Krugman, Joan Blades, Drew Dellinger, Starhawk, Ron Kovic, and more. They, along with the words and wisdom of our country's founders, inspire and rekindle the passion for freedom that America represents, and the importance of protecting authentic democracy and standing up for liberty.

VOICES OF DISSENT challenges anyone who would limit the freedoms and civil liberties granted in the Constitution and Bill of Rights as fundamentally un-American, even if they are our own leaders. It inspires viewers to speak out, to vote and actively protect our heritage of democracy, before we lose it. A festival favorite, it has been chosen for 9 festival awards so far. The next festival screening is 10/8 at the Westwood International Film Festival in Los Angeles. But you can see it here in San Francisco on Tuesday, 10/3.

After the screening, participate in a discussion with filmmaker Karil Daniels about the Bush government's attack on the Constitution and Bill of Rights, and how we can oppose them. Get energized, get motivated, get involved and Take Back America.

Karil is a long-time activist filmmaker and serves on the Board of Directors of Bay Area Women in Film and Television. Her past films have won 30 festival awards. VOICES OF DISSENT is a sponsored project of the Film Arts Foundation, a non-profit public foundation.

If you have never been to Dolby's beautiful 80 seat private screening room before, it is a special treat. Every big, comfy, upholstered chair has an excellent view of the screen, and the sound system is the best in the city.

$10 suggested donation to cover refreshments and costs.
No one turned away for lack of funds.
