Societal tensions are exposed at this opening reception on Tuesday, October 10th from 5 to 7pm. Artists Daniel Blomquist, Benjamin Miller-Rios (BenFlowz), and Laura Swanson present A Delicate Structure, an exhibit at the Diego Rivera Gallery from October 9th through the 14th, 2006.
A site specific installation of a monumental Plexiglas platform and a gaunt wood frame house suspended over 2160 eggs is an exposition of the delicate structures that simultaneously maintain and jeopardize privileged lifestyles. But what happens when the structure finally ruptures? Find out on Friday October 13th for our exclusive ‘Smashing Soiree’ with music by BenFlowz.
The Diego Rivera Gallery is located at the San Francisco Art Institute at 800 Chestnut Street between Leavenworth and Jones in San Francisco.
