S.F. protest of the 34th Anniversary of Martial Law in the Philippines
Since Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo came to power under martial law, at least 752+ Filipinos have been murdered by highly-trained, well-equipped assassins while 184 have gone missing. Tens of millions of U.S. tax dollars are given to the Macapagal-Arroyo government each year for military training and weaponry while hundreds of millions worth of military technology are "transferred" to the Philippine military. Today, the U.S. military is currently engaged in ongoing "joint-training exercises" between American troops and the Armed Forces of the Philippines. The situation in the Philippines is so alarming that even the world-renowned human rights organization Amnesty International recently released a report criticizing the Macapagal-Arroyo administration for its apparent inaction. Source: http://web.amnesty.org/library/index/engasa350062006
