Subhendu Ghosh will perform in a Hindustani vocal concert, being a renowned disciple of Padmashri Ustad Hafeez Ahmed Khan of Delhi. Ghosh has performed all across the U.S., Europe, and India. He will be accompanied by Jerry Barr on tabla.
In addition, Ghosh will speak about the varied secular traditions in Hindustani music and poetry. Reciting the beloved poems of Khusro, Kabir, Tansen, Akbarabadi, Faiz, Ludhianvi, and others, Ghosh has created musical compositions based on Hindustani and Karnatic ragas.
