Two Bay Area Events for Mumia This Week
Oakland Rally for Mumia on Friday, Night of Music and Poetry on Sunday.
The fight to free death-row political prisoner Mumia Abu-Jamal has reached a crucial juncture. On October 4, 2006, his legal team's Reply Brief in response to the briefs submitted by the district attorney will be filed on behalf of Mumia in the US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, in Philadelphia. Once the briefing phase is complete, his attorneys will present oral arguments before a three-judge panel in the U.S. Court of Appeals.
The Labor Action Committee to Free Mumia held a rally at the Alameda County Courthouse on Friday, September 15th.
