The first Palestinian film to be nominated for an
academy award (2005), Paradise Now
chronicles the day in the life of two West Bank
childhood friends who are called upon to fulfill their
vow to be suicide bombers inside Tel Aviv. After a
chance set back, the two men are confronted by a
well-traveled pacifist and daughter of a martyr, and
find themselves making the difficult decision between
fulfilling their mission against the 40 year old
occupation of Palestine and a more peaceful path....
