Documentary on self-directed education

Staff and students from Diablo Valley School in Concord will host a screening of "Voices from the New American Schoolhouse", a documentary about another Sudbury school in Maryland. Sudbury schools are run on a radically different education model - one that allows for complete self-directed learning. They are also organized as partipatory democracies, where all students have a vote on all administrative and educational policies. Staff and students will be present to answer questions on Sudbury philosophy and education in general. FREE
