Monkey On My Back Films, a local film company located in the East Bay will be hosting an event next week in Berkeley in order to raise money for production financing of the company's second short film. The film, Thoughts of a Hangman, centers on a young woman who believes she is in peril and while preparing to protect herself from her unknown assailant, considers all of the horrible thoughts that have sometimes crossed her mind and thinks that she just might deserve a terrible fate. The story is very much about the subconscience and laying to rest an utterly human (and visually intriguing) guilt.
Monkey On My Back Films welcomes all industry professionals, film enthusiasts and friends to help bring this project to life. $20 cover will include: beer and wine tickets, entry in the door prize drawing, hors d'oeuvres and gaiety. Actors will be appearing in costume, storyboards will be on display, the partners on hand to discuss their projects, a silent auction held and an eclectic selection of garage and classic rock, the blues and world music will be played. Come tour the twisted landscape of our imaginations, meet local filmmakers, dance, drink and be merry.
Please RSVP at: monkeyonmybackfilms3 [at] hotmail.com, subject: party, or for further information visit us at:

Hope to see everyone come out and support local independent film!
