ANOTHER FULL-PAGE AD IN NEW YORK TIMES CALLS FOR
OCTOBER 5 PROTESTS TO DRIVE OUT THE BUSH REGIME
Nationwide Organizing Meetings September 7
Today, for the second time this month, World Can’t Wait – Drive Out the Bush Regime published a full-page ad in the New York Times calling for massive protests across the country on OCTOBER 5. The ad reads: 'ENDLESS WARS! TORTURE! KATRINA! THEOCRACY! BRING THIS TO A HALT! We must act now-- The world's future is in our hands."
The ad calls for nationwide unconventional protests: "Walk out of school! Refuse to work! No shopping on Oct. 5! …March through the streets calling on millions more to join us in repudiating this criminal regime with the mobilization of massive political opposition!"
Similar ads are appearing today in the LA Weekly, Chicago Reader, San Francisco Bay Guardian, and the DC City Paper. And on Air America radio, national 30-second spots will begin this week featuring nationally known signers of the World Can't Wait Call. The message: " Face it. The Bush regime is remaking the world, very quickly, in a fascist way and for generations to come. Denial won't help. And the Democrats aren't stopping them. But WE must. And we can. There are millions of us…"
On the evening of Thursday, September 7, there will be simultaneous meetings in cities and towns nationwide to organize for October 5.

The World Yawns. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
If the many thousands that nitwit groups have spent on useless adds in the NYT were donated to Indymedia and such free channels we might get creative ways to access the public conciousness. Or why don't we just use it to bribe officials like the corps do?.. Just curious who's driving this luke warm impotent movement.
The world? Just another instance of Yankee hubris. Just who are you? I live in Australia and I am definitely NOT yawning when there are people in the US who are prepared to take an initiative in stopping this filthy, pornographic, warmongering administration that has been foisted upon the entire world by lackadaisical 'yawners'!
What do you suggest should be done? What are you doing? Do you stand outside your 'comfort zone' and shout to the world your distaste and fear of this administration and its cronies? If you do, then I apologise, however, in the meantime look to yourself!
