Dear Friends,

My daughter "Patrice" Batya Ackerman suffered a massive stroke & left her body on the evening of 8/16/06 surrounded by family & friends. I ask for your presence & help to raise funds for her funeral & grave plot & stone. My baby was godchild of musician Rahsaan Roland Kirk & was 45 years old. Batya was the mother of 4 sons & 2 grandsons. My daughter was a professional cook & craftswoman & had dreams of one day owning a child care center. I will miss her forever.
