I had wanted to go to that but couldn't make it, and I wondered where you would go.
Spectacular pictures! I love them -- they make me kick myself for not getting out and going! Will you be doing the Friday rides into the Fall? I hope so. This looks like a great time. bonus points to the guy who make body armour from tp rolls! Recycling rocks! ;-)
why post this on indymedia? How is this news? What's the point? Looks like you had fun, but come on people. This is like the fluff they play on corporate media stations in leiu of real news.
Good Question: How is this news?
Isn't NEWS just BAD stuff that happens, stuff that scares us so that (as Marylin Manson says in Bowling for Columbine) we will consume more stuff to make fear go away.
The REAL news...the future changing news... is that people are building bike fun community....and they are having a good time, and you are invited and maybe you want to join them or start your own bike ride next time.
Is a program which sponsors solar panels being installed on 20 peoples houses in your neighborhoods news? If yes, then similarly 20 people out to party on every Friday nights on bikes with creative art, theater and exercise. This much more news worthy then the number of drunke car accidents on the same night....which is what the sentinal and corporate news will cover....unless you just want bad news....
bad news, breeds fear, by stuff , stuff fear, watch bad news....
