MEMBERS OF AN INTERNATIONAL CIVILIAN RELIEF CONVOY ANNOUNCED PLANS TO PROVIDE HUMANITARIAN RELIEF TO THE VILLAGES OF SOUTHERN LEBANON THIS WEEKEND. CONVOY SUPPORTERS SAID, MOST CIVILIAN RELIEF IS BEING DELIVERED OUTSIDE THE AREAS WORST AFFECTED BY ISREAL’S MONTH LONG BOMBARDMENT OF LEBANON. IN SOUTHERN LEBANON AN ESTIMATED 100,000 PEOPLE REMAIN WITH LITTLE WATER, ELECTRICITY, MEDICINE OR FOOD.

WITNESSES SAID ONE MONTH OF WARFARE IN LEBANON HAS LEFT MANY SOUTHERN AREAS WITHOUT ELECTRICITY OR WATER AND UNDER CURFEW BY INVADING ISRAELI FORCES. SOME LEBANESE CIVILIANS AND THEIR INTERNATIONAL SUPPORTERS ARE PLANNING A HUMANITARIAN RELIEF CARAVAN TO SOUTHERN LEBANON.
