Wobbly Cat!

by Worker Freedom
Hey everyone
sabocat.jpg

IWW General Assembly is coming up. After two days of debating and a rally at the Shattuck Cinema, you can get a little bay area sun and exercise at the WobblyCat! This is going to be a great IWW themed bike race for local bike messengers and Wobblies coming from around the country.

The way it works is like this. We will all be meeting at a designated spot in San Francisco, where you will get a manifest listing all the stops you need to make around the city. (Out of towners won't have to make as many stops as locals, don't worry). We'll be visiting places like Dashiell Hammett's house (the Pinkertons tried to pay him $5000 to kill Frank Little, but he refused). We are also going to be having a hobo encampment with real hobos, and we are going to make you visit them and get a hobo mark. There are going to be tons of prizes for winners, and an awesome afterparty.

If you ride bikes and need us to get you one for the race, please communicate with the bay area branch. Also, the great thing about the race is that you can either compete and try to finish really fast, or you can just take your time and visit some awesome Wobbly history sites around San Francisco.

And if you don't ride a bike, we still need people to hang out at the various stops around the city and sign peoples' manifests. Let us know if you are a hobo and want to hang out with the hobos, for example.

email slava [at] iww.org if you have any questions, comments, concerns or need a bike.
