Hello everyone,
This Saturday, August 5th, please join our mass demonstration at 16th & Broadway, in Sacramento, from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm, to protest the continued Israeli and U.S. aggression in the Middle East.
It's very important right now to draw public attention to the outrageous criminal atrocities that Israel has been inflicting against the Lebanese and Palestinian people. Last Sunday, Israel blew up--murdered!--three dozen more Lebanese children in a single air raid in Qana that killed over 60 civilians in one day. Israel has now killed over 750 Lebanese people, and the overwhelming majority have been civilians.
Please come out Saturday and demand that Israel stop its egregious violations of human rights and international law. Be a voice for the Palestinian and Lebanese resistance that the corporate media ignores or unfairly demonizes. Let's demand an end, once and for all, to the occupations of Lebanon, Palestine, Iraq, and Afghanistan, and let's show support for the Palestinian people's right of return.
Please forward this to others, and bring your friends, banners, flags, signs, art and instruments to 16th & Broadway on Saturday, August 5th! Please use on-street parking (which is free) instead of Tower Records/Cafe/Theater customer lots.
Sponsors/Participants: Stephen & Virginia Pearcy, Sacramento Coalition to End the War, Not in Our Name/Sacramento, National Council of Arab Americans (NCA)/Sacramento, Muslim Student Association (MSA) West, Sacramento for Democracy, Veterans for Peace/Sacramento Chapter, Code Pink/Davis Chapter, Code Pink/Sacramento Chapter, CSUS Faculty for Peace & Justice, Chicano Consortium, Sacramento Progressive Alliance, Coalition for Democracy in Haiti, and many others.
