Yet it still sells eggs from hens confined in battery cages, despite the recent evidence provided by East Bay Animal Advocates, which documented abusive conditions at NuCal, an Andronicos brand-name egg supplier. The undercover footage shows intensive confinement of chickens inside a series of barren, windowless sheds where thousands of hens are confined in wire cages so small that they cannot flap their wings.
