Earlier, Hizbullah rockets landed an Israeli city well beyond the border Saturday, Israeli medics said. It was the first attack on the city of Tiberias since Israel started its offensive in Lebanon. The city is situated on the Sea of Galilee about 35kms south of the border with Lebanon. Several people were lightly injured. Hizbullah claimed its gunners launched 12 rockets towards the city.
Meanwhile, the Israeli army said a missile fired by Hizbullah damaged an Israeli warship off Lebanon. Iranian troops helped fire the missile, a senior intelligence official said on Saturday.
One sailor was killed and three were missing.
The intelligence official, according to the AP, said about 100 Iranian soldiers are in Lebanon and helped fire the Iranian-made, radar-guided C- 102at the ship late Friday.
