Want to learn more about climate change? Dr. Peter Weiss
will be giving a free public lecture and leading a
community discussion about the science of climate change
and global warming. If you have seen Al Gore’s “An
Inconvenient Truth” or event if you haven’t, this is an
opportunity to ask questions to an expert in atmospheric
science. There will also be a focus on finding local
solutions to global problems in coordination with the
group People Power.
This lecture will occur on Thursday, July 27 2006 from
7:00 – 9:00 pm at the Louden Nelson Center, room 4, in
Santa Cruz.
Dr. Weiss was formerly a professor of Environmental
Science at the University of Washington and is now
associated with the Department of Environmental Toxicology
at UCSC. He is also an environmental songwriter and has a
new CD available through his website:
