Palestinian Emergency Protest-SF...with some Zionists...
Here are some pictures of todays demonstration outside of the Israeli Consulate. There were several hundred people in support of the Palestinian people calling an end to the assault on gaza strip. There was also a few dozen Zionists out there chanting racist rhetoric against arabs, muslims and essentially Palestinian in support of the assault on gaza by the Israeli state. Most of these pictures are of the Zionists...

I was there and the only racist epithets being spewed were from the PLO supporters such as "Charad al Yahood" in Arabic which means "Kill the Jews." As for the "capture the flag" photo, it figures you did not mention the flag was forcefully taken from an elderly woman and the SFPD chased the guy in the photo and retrieved the flag for her.
Why no photos of the PLO flag with clenched red fists, dripping with blood, eh? Why not mention the physical assaults on the Jews that took place? Why not mention the older woman at the head of the PLO crowwho kept giving everyone on the other side "the finger" and telling them they "take it up the ass?" And why not mention the sign tht said 9,000 hostages were in Israel, meaning the majority of prisoners in jail for committing murder
after trials?
Ah, but then this wouldn't be Indymedia, would it?

I was also there, and can say without a doubt that there were no attacks on jews and that people were not chanting "kill the jews." It's sad that your cause si so weak that you have to resort to these kinds of falsehoods to try to get the upper hand.
what is the point of giving so much bandwidth to the zionists? they were an insignificant number, compared to the hundreds of palestinians and supporters, and as we all know, the zionists and their cause get a disporportionate amount of exposure everywhere else; why here?
And we aren't using it as a chatroom.
People who attended the rally are discussing the events that transpired.
That is precisely the purpose of the comments section of Indymedia.

please bear in mind that this is primarily a NEWS site, not a discussion forum. Craig's List, Daily Kos, and Infoshop.org are sties that do have sections devoted to discussion.

We have the chants in Arabic to kill the Jews on both sound and video recordings of the pro-PLO crowd taken at the event. We also have videosof the flags with bloody fists and the chants in Arabic of "Trhough blood, we will redeem you, O Palestine."
You've just shown waht lairs you are.
You've just shown waht lairs you are.
Liars that is...
Maybe they are right... maybe they should just wipe Jizrael off the fucking map.
Liar: I was also there, and can say without a doubt that there were no attacks on jews and that people were not chanting "kill the jews."
Truth:
1. the protest was on both sides of the street, so the best you could say was "i didn't hear any chants of "kill the jews". Just because you didn't hear it doesn't mean it didn't happen
2. The chants weren't "kill the jews" in English- it was "kill the Jews" in Arabic. Unless you speak Arabic, you may not have known what you heard. We had several arabic speakers on our side, and they translated it for us.
3. Yes, I was there , too. There was a small group chanting this, up close to the police barricade, towards the and of the evening.
4. The "attack" - described to me by those who witnessed it, was simply the grabbing of an Israel flag from the hands of an eldery woman. The police quickly recovered it.
Liar: It's sad that your cause si so weak that you have to resort to these kinds of falsehoods to try to get the upper hand.
Truth: No, it sad that your side resorts to lies, in San Franscisco of all places, where we should be able to sit down and discuss these issues like rational people.
