One of the most patriotic symbols we share is our magestic flag. A symbol of our freedoms, like the right to free speech which includes the right to burn this patriotic symbol. Which makes a burning flag our most patriotic symbol.

I wish for those who partake in this disgusting display to move to Canada where they belong. I hate to think that these "Anti-Americans" share the same freedoms as I. Sick.

you don't seem to understand how profound those freedoms you speak of are.
In 1989, the US Supreme Court (our defenders of the Constitution) agreed that flag desecration should be protected under the first amendment as free speech. It IS one of our shared
freedoms. Now, I never wanted to burn a flag in protest but the second that I heard that
certain members of congress were trying to wrap themselves in the flag and try to
amend the constitution... well then I felt it was time to publicly and as a proud american,
burn a flag to exercise that freedom and even more, to celebrate all my freedoms
as an american.
