Is it gather at 5:00 and ride at 5:30, as stated above... or gather at 5:30 and ride at 6:00, as stated on the Audio PSA which I have heard on FRSC and is posted on the newswire

There could be a ride that starts at 5:30 and have some people stay at the clock tower. Then have the 5:30 mass circle back to the clock tower for a larger mass of 6:00pm ridaz.

Undercover KC Sheriffs Unprovoked Attack On Critical Mass
http://seattle.indymedia.org/en/2006/07/253705.shtml
During last Friday's Critical Mass ride in Seattle (6/30), under cover King County sheriff's became enraged when they were 'corked' (to allow the ride to pass), and attacked a corker. Only after the rest of the Mass started to jump in to defend, did they identify themselves as police. Two arrests, one felony charge for assulting an office (who was unidentified as such).
