Photos from the March in solidarity with the workers who were fired from Chevy's
These are photos from the rally. We met at Dr Powers park in the middle of Tracy, held a brief rally, and then Marched 4 miles to the Chevys where we held a symbolic picket. Most of the passing drivers that reacted at all honked in support. Only three or four gave us the finger or shouted negative comments at us. Neighbors mostly showed support, although one chickenshit sprayed their garden hose at us from behind a wall.
The Tracy event was fairly well attended. Five IWWs (Amy, Bruce, Sarah, Slava, and I) joined the fired workers, community supporters, a couple of lawyers, an activist from CTW, and an ISO member (who was there to write an article for the Socialist Worker). Altogether, I'd say the demonstration numbered 50.

What amazed me was the ethnic diversity of Tracy, similar to Oakland or Berkeley. California is truly a rainbow of colors.
