Cacerolazo/Bike Blok Struggle to Cause Economic Disruption for May 1

by rez (rezrez [at] rediffmail.com)
Cacerolazo, Bike Blok fight for free reign of the streets on May Day in San Francisco
wham_.jpg
BikeBlok and the Cacerolazo, two direct responses to HR4437 (www.nohr4437.org) and
other recently proposed reactionary anti immigration legislation struggled with violent motorists and armored cops on
dirt bikes to zigzag around San Francisco’s financial center, leaving a trail of agit - prop fliers, disruptive and celebratory
noise in their wake, while managing to smilingly bid passers by a hearty “Happy May Day!”

The two groups represent a very diverse group of people, both citizens of the USA and so called “foreigners” who used
preliminary meetings based around horizontal organizational structures and open consultas to create a plan for the day
that would both compliment the larger May Day rally and also encourage people to disrupt economic activity in concert
with the nationwide call out for a “day without and immigrant,” where immigrants and sympathizers would give the
American mainstream an idea of the difficulty of eating, commuting and working without the support that immigrants
offer our society every day.

wow.. I'm surprised.. some of the black bloc folks ditched their trendy-black to go for the solidarity white. very nice :)

they can be white. they can be orange jumpsuits. as long as a fair number are dressed the same and their identities are concealed.

for this march, white actually seems to make the most sense.
