100,000 March on May 1st for Immigrant Justice in SF (2/2)
San Francisco, California (May 1, 2006) – 100,000 people march down San Francisco’s Market Street today during what would have otherwise have been the height of a busy Monday afternoon. The march and general strike was a small piece of the nationwide mobilization over a million strong to demand justice for immigrants. Although a majority of marchers were Latino, from the looks of things plenty of businesses had to do without immigrants of many nationalities.

where are the pictures from this mornings snake march?
if the Mexican people would stop referring to themselves as Hispanics or Latinos, and acknowledge their INDIGENOUS NATIVE AMERICAN HERITAGE (as Mexico IS in the North American Continent is it not?) so Mexican people ARE Native People and NOT Immigrants, Aliens or Illegals,.....The Spanish did NOT come here and find more Spanish people, just because the Natives had the Spanish language forced down their throats as well as Catholisism, it did NOT make them Latinos or Hispanics any more than the Natives on this side of the imaginary border are ENGLISH just because they had it forced down their throats
