Break with the Democratic Party of Racism and War!
Full Citizenship Rights for All Immigrants!
Fight for Black Liberation!
For Socialist Revolution in Mexico and the U.S.!
In outrage against racist, draconian, anti-immigrant legislation in Congress, immigrants have staged mass protests across the country. But these demos have been led by a wing of the Democratic Party and the Catholic Church hierarchy, both of which are strident defenders of the very same capitalist system that perpetuates the oppression and exploitation of immigrants, blacks, and labor. To take this struggle forward, workers and the oppressed must be broken from illusions that the Democratic Party is a “friend.” What’s needed is the independent mobilization of the multiracial labor movement in a class-struggle fight for black and immigrant rights.
In France, massive student protests and workers strikes against a proposed anti-labor law targeting young workers rocked the country and beat back the government’s attack, demonstrating the enormous social power of the workers movement. There, we fought to defend ghetto youth protesters of immigrant origin, who were labeled ‘hooligans’ by those alibiing the racist government/police campaign. Come hear why workers must be won to the Marxist perspective of building revolutionary workers parties to lead the fight to overturn capitalism through international socialist revolution from France to Mexico to the U.S.
