The 2006 Law Day Conference will be taking place at CSUFresno on April 26, 2006 from 8 am to 5 pm. This event is open to the public at large. It is the only of its kind in the Central Valley. The address is: California State University, Fresno; University Student Union (USU); 5241 N. Maple Avenue; Fresno CA 93740. More information can be obtained from the Chicanos in Law Website: http://www.csufresno.edu/CIL/index.html A calendar of events scheduled for Law Day: http://www.csufresno.edu/CIL/Law_day_schedule.html There will be an opportunity to consult with law school representatives from different California Law Schools from 10 am to 4 pm, in the University Student Union Balcony. There will be free workshops on the law school admissions process, financing law school, LSAT Practice Tips, and minorities and law school. There will also be a 5 panel of attorneys in the opening workshop: What do Lawyers Do? People can network with law professionals during the luncheon taking place in University Student Union Rm 314 at 11:30 am to 12:25pm. Our keynote speaker will be Anthony Solana, Jr.; Attorney at Law and he will have a workshop from 12:30 pm to 2:55 pm relevant to minorities and the law school admissions process. He has the author of "The Law School Application Process for People of Color", which is a step by step guide for minorities pursuing a career in law. You can download the book from his website at forpeopleofcolor.org. This event is sponsored by Chicanos in Law, Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, Political Science Association, and Associated Students.
