What is going on in Central and South America? Alot, as this region swings to the left.
Since the late 1970's, more than one million people have transformed their lives. They have done so by organizing peaceful protests that have forced the Brazilian government to redistribute approximately 20 million acres of agricultural land to 350,000 families.
On April 20, Cuba Study Group will co-sponsor a film: The Landless: on the Path of the Americas with the Friends of MST - the Landless Workers Movement in Brazil. Juan Reardon, National Coordinator for FMST will host the evening and lead a post-film discussion.
