Thursday, April 20, 7:30 pm. HopeDance Films presents a Premiere Screening of Rumi - Turning Ecstatic A film by Tina Petrova and Stephen Roloff. Featuring poet and translator Coleman Barks, author Andrew Harvey, natural builder Nader Khalili and Camille and Kabir Helminski (of the Mevlevi Order). With an ecstatic soundtrack of original Sufi music, the poetry of Mevlana Jelalludin Rumi and the Artwork of Michael Green (The Illuminated Rumi). Rumi is known throughout the world for his ecstatic poetry (being the best-selling poet in the U.S., outselling Shakespeare!). Rumi is also recognized as a visionary, peacekeeper and environmentalist who promoted tolerance, compassion, and understanding between people of all backgrounds and beliefs.
