DANCE DOWN THE LOCK DOWN
A benefit for Critical Resistance and PARC

An evening of music, dance and words celebrating a world beyond prisons

The second annual Dance Down the Lock Down benefit concert in support of local organizations Critical Resistance, and this year, addition PARC will be held in two Bay Area Locations. Punctuated by contributions from local artists, the event not only raises money but also awareness about the impacts of the prison industrial complex on Bay Area communities.
Friday April 21st is the first show, at CounterPulse, 1310 Mission Street in San Francisco. Initiated by a pre-show of street theatre and dance, it begins at 6:30pm, with the show starting at 8pm and an afterparty following the main event.

$15-25 entry, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

The San Francisco show features local celebrity showstoppers such as Richele, Beatriz Restrepo, Loco Bloco Carneval Bateria, Isak Immanuel, Nedula Baggio, Shawna Virago, Graciela Osuns, the brass liberation orchestra and renowned DJs who will spin at the afterparty.
