Student momentum is still growing!
ADULT ALLIES who wish to support student protesters tommorrow are needed in Watsonville around 9AM and onwards. We are not sure how it will all pan out but we as supporterrs need to be flexible and go with the flow of what the students want. There may be kids from all over the area so a peaceful and safe vibe is essential to everything going smoothly. If the students want to march and are willing to stay on the sidewalks, help guide them. If they go in the streets, help them too.
ACTION: Wear brown shirt, black pants, if possible. Go to the TARGET parking lot (Target is on Main Street... take the 152/ Watsonville Exit off of Hwy 1... Target on right hand side) OR Ramsey Park (next door to Target) and be on standby. We are there to greet and protect the protesters, create an adult ally presence that cannot be missed. Observers may be needed up until at least 3-4 PM so even an hour of your time will help.
We are able to be at Ramsey Park all day so if we can support the students heading there... great. There will be a sound system for them to rally and speak out.

Thursday was a relatively quiet day in Fresno and most of the Central Valley. About 150 students walked out at Coalinga High, on the Westside of the Central Valley. In Fresno, there were 20 students detained, compared to 200 on Wednesday.
Nobody knows what is going to happen on Friday, which is Cesar Chavez day. There is at least one (officially sanctioned) march that will take place at Noon today. Otherwise, there are preliminary reports that there will be smaller demonstrations at High Schools around town. The Fresno Police Department is telling organizers they will detain students if they walkout and cite any adults that take part in the marches.
A report will be posted to the Central Valley page, detailing the days events, this evening.
