Activists who leaflet at Ringling Bros Circus regularly have their First Amendment (free speech) rights violated across the State of California and across the entire country. Just last year in Fresno (CA) activists were not allowed to even leaflet on a public sidewalk because the arena (where Ringling was exhibiting) got the Fresno City Attorney's office to tell Fresno Police to arrest people who leafleted on the public sidewalk.
In other cities activists are kept far from the arena where Ringling is exhibiting -- in an effort to stop patrons from learning about the inherent cruelties involved with using animals in the circus.
