An emergency Immigrant Rights Rally is being planned in the center of SFSU. Protestors will demand an end to the racist and dangerous minutemen, rights and respect for Latinos, and DEATH TO ANTI-IMMIGRANT LEGISLATION!!!
Speakers, music and spontaneous acts of protest will air in support of immigrant rights. The event is being planned by the brand new Immigrant Rights Coalition which is made up of many clubs and organizations at SFSU.
The protest is in Malcolm X Plaza, right in front of the Student Center. If you're driving, park at Stonestown Mall and walk down 19th Ave to campus. Campus maps will direct you to Malcolm X Plaza.
A bill on the Senate floor right now that calls for a "crackdown" on immigrants. Among other things it involves the building of a 700-mile fence along the Mexico-US border. This protest is in response to this frightening bill!
