former United States Senator GARY HART
talk & book signing for God And Caesar in America
Wednesday, April 5th at 7 pm
at The Booksmith (1644 Haight Street)

--- In his timely new book, former United States Senator Gary Hart outlines the growing danger of religion disguised by politics - and how a minority is subverting the political system to ensure its own agenda. "God And Caesar in America: An Essay on Religion and Politics" is an analysis of this potentially dangerous movement - and warning to those who believe in democracy.

Gary Hart will talk about his new book. A question and answer period will follow. Gary Hart will sign copies of his new book afterword.

Former United States Senator Gary Hart (D-Colorado) is the author of numerous books, and a leading expert on national security and American foreign policy. He is the author most recently of "Shield & The Cloak." Gary Hart is also a lawyer and teacher, and holds a doctorate degree from Oxford and graduate law and divinity degrees from Yale. Gary Hart represented the state of Colorado in the United States Senate from 1975 until 1987. In 1984 and 1988, he was a candidate for President.
