Show Description: All over the world, in almost every place where humans gather be it town , village ,city ,metropolis , the length that separates us grows constantly smaller as the walls of globalization ,and western modernity come closing in. We have countless wonderful and beautiful cultures that have survived hundreds of years of enslavement ,genocide , imperialism, colonialism, that still continue to this day , and still contain the life to go on .This life is thriving. Its out in the street be it clean black asphalt or dirt and mud. Amongst the concrete maze or the shantys and favelas this life is still going strong.
Our show will focus on those strong connections that unite us in our worldwide resistence towards oppression made visual through the imagery of the everyday struggle. Those roads or caminos will help us show others that we share in this struggle, a common bond and love for peace and justice. We will celebrate life and at the same time create a resource for visual education of our cultural activists and their different methods of resisting oppression. Opening Reception Friday, April 7th, 2006, 6pm-9pm Music: Provided by Dj Celskiii and Dj Deeandroid Food: Snacks and light refreshments provided Panel: Artist Panel TBA Closing Reception Friday, April 28th, 2006, 6pm-9pm
