Stand In for Victims of the Slaughter
in Darfur
in Darfur
We're looking for at least 200,000 caring people to stand in for the victims of mass atrocities in Darfur. We need you to speak for those who have been killed, raped and displaced—the innocent people who can no longer speak for themselves.
The international community has not agreed on a number of those killed in the slaughter—estimates range from 180,000 to 400,000. The New York Times reported the number 200,000 in March 2006.
At least two million people have been forced to flee their
homes—and are displaced in Sudan or in camps in
neighboring Chad.
Help us stand up for those who cannot speak for themselves. We are asking you to sign our petition to
call for a U.N. appointed diplomat of the highest international
stature to lead a peace process in Darfur

Good article about the situation in Darfur
Another thing you can do: Invite Brian Steidle to share his Darfur photos with your school, your church, your community group. It is up to all of us to bear witness to stop these atrocities.
From the article: "Steidle said he has also lobbied the inner sanctum of the Bush administration, but has been asked repeatedly by U.S. officials to stop showing his photographs."
If the government doesn't want these photos shown- you know you should do all you can to see them.
