The local deaf community presents an evening of American Sign Language (ASL) storytelling. The purpose of the event is to give our deaf children the same experience that hearing children get when they attend a storytelling event at the public library. It is a great opportunity for parents who are just learning how to communicate with their deaf children through ASL. Also, deaf children will interact with deaf adults, who can model the exploration of deaf culture. Join us for this special evening and “see” some of your favorite stories as told by our ASL storytellers. All ages are welcome, and children are encouraged to bring their parents. Interpreting services will be provided. Admission is free, and donations are gratefully accepted.
