Students & Educators UNITE with US Labor Against the War (USLAW) to join the main ANSWER march in San Francisco!
[Bring the noise, intersection of Grove St & Polk St.]
Join students, teachers, and workers for the huge antiwar demo Saturday March 18, 2006, to mark end of the third year of war in Iraq. Come at 10:00 AM and hear about the attacks on education brought about by war, including school closings, under-funding, tuition hikes, cuts to pay and benefits, and increasing pressure on students to join the military by aggressive military recruiting. Learn how YOU can unite in the struggle for money for schools and education, not war and occupation, and funding for college, not combat!
Unified against war, students will join teachers' unions in
US Labor Against the War and march together against the war's attack on education and labor.
NO SCHOOL CLOSINGS! NO TUITION HIKES! NO PAY CUTS!
[Also: mon, mar 20, 4pm. Oppose military recruiters at stonestown mall, 561 buckingham way, san francisco.]
endorsed by: campus antiwar network (CAN), oakland educators association (OEA), USLAW, teachers and students throughout the bay area! If your group would like to endorse this event, please contact Christan Morley, CMorley@uclink.berkeley.edu.
