POWERFUL WOMEN OF COLOR CONFERENCE
The 21st Annual Empowering Women of Color Conference and Film Festival features a talk by Dr. Beverly Wright, Founder and Director of the Deep South Center for Environmental Justice at Xavier University in New Orleans and a panel with five environmental justice women of color activists. Also, workshops, vendors, cultural performances, the Women of Color Film Festival and more. The 2006 conference theme is "Nourishing Mother E.A.R.T.H: Environmental Awakening—Restoring Traditions and Heritage." Barrows Hall, UC Berkeley Campus, Berkeley.
