Winemaker dinner with D’Argenzio Wines at the Octavia Lounge in San Francisco; on the evening of Saturday, February 18th starting at 6 PM.

The D’Argenzio Winery of Sonoma County is hosting a winemaker dinner at San Francisco’s Octavia Lounge that will feature hand-crafted wines presented by this award-winning, family-owned winery located in Santa Rosa.

Not only will incredible new cuisine be featured on Octavia Lounge’s menu, but each course will be paired with select D’Argenzio Wines. This special winemaker dinner will also be highlighted by music performed by area musicians And of course, the setting of The Octavia Lounge space itself is atmospheric, reminiscent of a classic supper club.

On this evening, it is a community and family affair – not only is D’Argenzio a family owned and operated winery, but Octavia is family to this Mid-Market, Deco Ghetto community in San Francisco. Not only providing open mic nights for those who want to entertain their friends, but the Octavia often home for a good jazz trio and other musicians. For all, Chef Steven Martin serves up hearty comfort food dishes.

Noteworthy on the menu (menu attached) for the Winemaker Dinner on Saturday February 18th, will be light strawberry vinaigrette salad paired with D’Argenzio’s new 2004 Chardonnay - which by they way is making its San Francisco debut! A mushroom and leek candy-wrapper ravioli will be paired with D’Argenzio’s classic red, the 2003 Zinfandel. Many other delicious pairings of great Octavia food with great D’Argenzio wine completes an amazing 5 course meal.

Subsequent to Octavia Lounge owner Pat O’Connor’s visit and wine-tasting at D’Argenzio’s winery in Santa Rosa, the evening’s pairings have been thoughtfully selected by Octavia Lounge’s owner, Chef Martin, and winemaker Ray D’Argenzio. “Octavia Lounge came up with a spectacular array of dishes to compliment D’Argenzio Wines. We are really looking forward to this and it will be very enjoyable for all who like to come. I will give a narrative journey of our passion for wine and wine making all along the way…I love the expressions on people’s faces and the different tastes they experience as they venture into their indulgence of wine and food pairing…” says Ray D’Argenzio.

The dinner flight starts at 6 PM and reservations are recommended.
