On Valentine's Day a recently organized group of grandmothers
wearing camouflage hats will attempt to enlist at the Army recruitment center in Oakland. As an act of love they will offer themselves as replacements for young soldiers in Iraq.

Grandmothers in 14 cities across the country will also attempt to enlist following the lead of the New York group who tried to enlist in the Times Square army office and were subsequently arrested.

Also in attendance will be The Mourning Mothers, Iraq war veterans and singers Ronnie Gilbert and Barbara Dane,
