The Center for Sex & Culture Welcomes a Legend: Xaviera Hollander
The Center for Sex & Culture, San Francisco's "Best Emerging Sex Non-Profit (SF Bay Guardian, 2004), is delighted to announce a rare visit from the Happy Hooker herself, Xaviera Hollander. The legendary Xaviera visits to introduce a new documentary by Robert Dunlap about her one-of-a-kind life. Titled "Xaviera Hollander: The Happy Hooker," Dunlap's film examines Hollander's personal impact and cultural importance. Xaviera revolutionized talk of sex and prostitution in the 1970s with her tell-all book, then continued to dispense savvy, frisky, good-humored sex advice through her long-running Penthouse column. She lives in Europe and rarely visits San Francisco, so this is a don't-miss event!
Doors open at 6:00 pm on Saturday, February 11, at the Center for Sex & Culture, 398 11th Street at Harrison in San Francisco. Cost is $10-40 sliding scale. The movie starts at 7:00 pm, followed by an opportunity for Q&A with Xaviera. The movie's executive producer J.P. Patti will be present as well.
Please RSVP to (415) 255-1155 or mail@sexandculture.org.
