A conversation with Joel Beinin

Joel Beinin is one of the country's leading authorities on the Middle East. In this comprehensive interview with PPJC director Paul George, Beinin will discuss the current dynamics of the Israel-Palestine conflict now that Ariel Sharon has left the political stage, the continuing effects of the U.S. occupation of Iraq, the possibility of war with Iran, and much more. Be a part of this illuminating exploration of a region that remains one of the most volatile places on earth.

Joel Beinin is a Professor of Middle East History at Stanford University and a Past President of the Middle East Studies Association of North America. He is the author of _Workers and Peasants in the Modern Middle East_, _Was the Red Flag Flying There?_, _Workers on the Nile_ and other books and is the editor of _Political Islam: Essays from Middle East Report_.
