So, I found this post on the Protest Warriors website....heads up:

I have been manipulating local events. These people are idiots. They follow me, a random hotmail address.
A bunch of dipshits are going to show up downtown on Wednesday and stare at each other, wondering who is in charge. I made sure to drop the cops an anonymous tip. There are no permits, so if they veer off of the sidewalk, they face arrest. I hope they have fun. Of course, I will be there to observe the loony left clusterfuck.

Much like some of the trolls on this site, they are incapable of grasping nuances, have poor understanding of facts (usu. right wing radion misinformation and lack critical thinking skills.

So, for people who aren't quite activists but who show up at rallies, could someone give us the low-down on World Can't Wait? I saw something about them at the Chicago site. It's hard to keep track of various groups unless you go to meetings.
PS protest warriors are funny. You can sign up to their mailing list for this area in order to see what they're up to, and often just two or three will show up for their missions. Start snapping their pictures and put them online.

on one level, the Sacramento police have more experience with protests *at the capitol*, however, the city police have had a pattern of illegal activity during certain events, such as critical mass. In one situation, a man in a pickup who seemed to be very familiar with the police was swerving into riders, and then got out and grabbed someone, tried to steal their camera, and said he was putting them under citizen's arrest for driving too slowly. see: http://www.indybay.org/news/2002/12/1548311.php
at another event, a really out of control female officer came behind cyclists at a red light and kept honking her horn even though they were in the right/parking lane, and people didn't know what to do because she seemed to be ordering them to go through a red light which is illegal. Then she got out and arrested a random one of them, for obstructing traffic.
