Palestinian Ayed Morar and Israeli Jonathan Pollack are friends and major figures in the Palestinian-led nonviolent struggle against Israel’s military occupation. Ayed led his village of Budrus in a victory for nonviolence over the Israeli military in 2003-2004. Through a campaign of 50 protests, the village pushed the Wall’s path off village land and to the Green Line. Jonathan, from Tel Aviv, was one of the first activists to travel regularly into the Occupied Territories in order to support Palestinians in nonviolent protest. He has mobilized hundreds of Israelis over the last two years to join Palestinian-led protests in the West Bank. Both Ayed and Jonathan have recently been imprisoned by the Israelis for their nonviolent resistance organizing. For more info and complete schedule, see http://www.norcalism.org/activisttour.htm.
