To continue the momentum as we approach September 24th, we're asking everyone to come again to 16th & Broadway this Saturday, September 17th, from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm, for another major anti-war/anti-Bush rally.
Again, the goal will be to publicly express our opposition to the war and express disapproval over the administration's bungled response to the hurricane victims.
Obviously, more and more people are getting angry about the war and have increasingly been coming out to participate in these events. Many people have told me that they have become hopeful again just by seeing all of the people at our rallies and hearing all the honks of support when the cars drive by. It's particularly wonderful when there are large turnouts like the ones we've had, so thank you and please keep it up!
Note that the media has not gotten tired of our rallies. Earlier last Saturday, KPFA radio (from Berkeley) interviewed me about our rally for their Saturday broadcast, so they've even been hearing about our rallies in in the Bay Area!
Even Fox News was there last week, and they did a nice story about our rally on the 11 o'clock news.
Please forward this to others, and bring your friends, banners and signs to 16th & Broadway on Saturday.
