San Francisco Campaign for Teen Safety Campus Organizing Meeting!
Proposition 73 would amend the state constitution to require health care providers to notify the parents of young women under the age of 18 before providing abortion services. Once a parent has been notified, a mandatory waiting period of 48 hours is required before the doctor can provide an abortion.
Proposition 73 would serve as a blatant intrusion by the government into private, personal family matters. It places our most vulnerable teens—those in abusive homes or are pregnant as a result of rape or incest-- in jeopardy of severe health consequences such as delaying medical attention or finding their own solutions on the internet or elsewhere.
In order to defeat this dangerous initiative it is crucial that we turn out San Francisco voters to the polls on November 8th.
We need your help to organize and get-out-the-vote to university students!
Join Nicole Yelich and Nora Dye, SF County Co-Coordinators, and Leah Marchenko SF Campus Coordinator in a meeting to discuss and strategize on how to defeat this dangerous proposition on College Campuses in San Francisco.
