Cascadia Forest Defenders and Cascadia Earth First! present:
Climbing Action Camp

When: Friday August 19 to the 26th 2005

Where: In a beautiful old growth forest in the McKenzie River watershed

Come and participate in this weeklong intense climbing training adventure. This action camp is nothing but climbing everyday. From basic ascending and descending a rope to setting a platform in a tree, this action camp will cover it all.
No experience necessary. Also experienced climbers are encouraged to attend (you can always learn more) and help facilitate.

Basic Classes include:
- Knot tying (Learn the knots required for various dclimbing situations)
- Ascending, Descending & Mid-line descent
- Traversing (walkways, pulleying,& the commando)

Advanced Classes:
- Shot bagging - Skywalking
- Bow and arrow entry - Traverse Setting
- Crossbow and bolt entry - Setting climb lines
- Girth hitching - Setting a platform

AND MUCH MORE!!!

Please bring 10 - 20$ to help pay for materials and food (one or two meals will be provided). We strongly encourage you to attend and acquire these skill sets that are appropriate for mounting forest defense campaigns in the any forested bioregion. No one will be turned away to due to lack of funds. Directions will be given out a week or so before the event.

Because trainees will not be able to monitor their dogs while they are in the trees and for safety reasons, please DO NOT bring your dog.
