-----------------------------------------

Concerned individuals formed the Anti-G8 Legal Collective to support all people with legal consequences from the anti-G8 protests of July 8, regardless of their choices or charges. We are an autonomous group distinct from any individual's legal defense team or the organizers of the July 8 action. We include members of the National Lawyers Guild Demonstrations Committee, the Midnight Special Law Collective, and members of the community.

If you are a witness, please call the legal hotline (415-285-1011). We will take your contact info and share it with defense attorneys. If you have been contacted by law enforcement or have any questions whatsoever, feel free to call the hotline. We will connect you with an attorney to answer your questions and advise you of your rights.

We have confirmed accounts of the FBI questioning some people and harassing others (through conspicuous surveillance, etc). You have *no* obligation to talk to the FBI or even open the door to them. If you are visited, we encourage you to say "I'm going to remain silent, I want to see a lawyer." and nothing else, then call the legal hotline.

Josh Wolf, an independent journalist is facing contempt and possible criminal contempt charges for refusing to hand over the unedited video of the July protest and refusing to testify before the Grand Jury. He needs support. I am very concerned, especially as criminal, as opposed to civil, contempt charges can carry long jail terms, up to life imprisonment. Josh is 24 years olf. He is an idealist. He does not belong in jail. Please do what you can to help. His website is joshwolf.net/grandjury. His email is inthecity@sbcglobal.net, his phone is 415-794-2401.
