The May Day march in El Salvador this year was the largest since the signing of the peace accords at the end of the brutal war. Chelsea Blake, Western States Development Coordinator for the Committee in Solidarity with El Salvador (CISPES) will talk about why people in El Salvador are mobilizing in these incredible numbers.
What does resistance to corporate globalization in El Salvador look like and what are the alternatives? Come find out about the inspiring people's struggle at this benefit event. There will be typical Salvadoran food for sale, an art auction featuring locals, and live local music.
Suggested donation- $5-? (no one refused for lack of funds)
All proceeds go directly to the social movement in El Salvador
