Photos of Speakers and Performers at Trans Pride Kickoff
I missed last year's trans march, but I am really glad I made it this year. Speakers and performers from the local trans community, beautiful weather, and thousands of people made for a great evening. After 7pm we marched from Dolores Park to Civic Center, where there were more speakers on the steps of a building there.

(1) Thanks for the photos of the 2nd annual Trans March.
I attended the rally in Dolores Park on Friday afternoon;
but was unable to actually march.
Generally, the event seemed much bigger and much better organized than in 2004, its first year. (¿Quelle surprise, non?)
(2) A bisexual-dyke leatherwomon friend says,
"This year, it seems to be mainly a dyke event."
(Like, lots of TG and intersex persons who started life with XX
chromosome pattern; rather less who started with XY?)
(3) I very much enjoyed the bands.
***Could we have some photos of their performances? ***
Perhaps including Unka Lynnee's trademark gesture
of flashing
his
left "breasticle" ?
I can't get enough of Tribe 8 !!!

Her name is Theresa Sparks. She is (or was) co-chair of the ALice B. Toklas LGBT Democratic CLub, and was selected as Assembly 13 District Woman of the Year, the first trans woman to be so honored. She's an activist very involved in trans politics and instrumental in getting some of SF's more progressive policies in place.
